Jason recommends attending at least one private 1:1 session before moving directly into Small Group Equipment Classes.
This valuable one-to-one session provides Jason the opportunity to carefully assess your standing and seated posture, general skeletal alignment, flexibility, and pain-free range of motion... as well as teaching key safety instructions on the studio equiment.
Your initial one-to-one session gives each new client the opportunity to freely ask questions, discuss pre-existing injuries, medical conditions, detail past training experiences, and explain in a private setting any individual factors that might impact their journey with the Pilates method.
Always discuss your intention to start doing Pilates with your health practioner or GP before beginning classes, especially if you are recovering from surgery or joint injury. Inform Jason from the start if you are currently (or ever have been) pregnant, have had a cesarean section, are recovering from major surgery, have experienced joint replacement, or have any other medical condition that might inhibit your ability to perform exercise.
